My name is Jorge Luis Ramirez and I would like you to join me on an important cause. My mother, Margarita “Nena” Ramirez, a beloved friend to all animals, recently passed away unexpectedly. My mom had a tremendous heart, compassion, and dedication to all her amazing pets throughout her life.

My mom had the wonderful unique experience to include as her pets the likes of fish, birds, parrots, horses, donkeys, llamas, alpacas, ducks, geese, snakes, goats, sheep, a zebra, a hog, a variety of dogs, cats, and of course chihuahuas which she loved tremendously. Her love and care for each of them reflected in how tame and kind they all were… they were truly her pets.

When my mom recently passed away unexpectedly, I took it upon myself to make sure that all her pets would be taken care of and go to good homes where they’ll be loved just as much as my mom loved them. I kept several of her pets but knew that I wouldn’t be able to provide the time and care they deserved to all of them. I found good homes for most, all that remained were three loveable senior chihuahuas; and this is how I crossed paths with the Texas Chihuahua Rescue.

I am so grateful to have come across the Texas Chihuahua Rescue; such an amazing compassionate organization. I was having difficulty finding homes for my mom’s three older yet lovable chihuahuas: Mia, Bandit “Mick”, and Frida. The Texas Chihuahua Rescue not only provided open welcoming arms to them, but were able to immediately give them wellness checks, along with other veterinary treatments; all without hesitation. At a time when I was feeling overwhelmed handling many things on behalf of my mom and processing such a loss, the Texas Chihuahua Rescue provided a much needed helping hand.

The magnitude of gratefulness I feel for the Texas Chihuahua Rescue is unmeasurable. They stepped in and helped me with my mom’s chihuahuas at one of my most critical times; helping to find them good homes and in the meantime, giving them the love that they deserve. I am absolutely positive that my mom would be very appreciative as well. Not only did they provide such wonderful compassion and assistance to her pets, but also to myself, her only son; my mom’s heart would be filled with so much love and gratitude.

My mom would go above and beyond for her beloved pets. I see the same kind of compassion, love, and care in the Texas Chihuahua Rescue and all those that come together to help provide magnificent lives for such loveable pets. For that reason, for everything that the Texas Chihuahua Rescue represents, and on behalf of my mom, Margarita “Nena” Ramirez:

I would like to match dollar for dollar in donations up to $5,000 in hopes to reach a goal of $10,000 to help further Texas Chihuahua Rescue’s mission. Please join me in helping to support this marvelous organization by donating on January 26, 2022.
